As much as I love dressing up in cute dresses and fancy shoes, the truth is, my life is decidedly un-glamorous 99% of the time. My days are spent carpooling kids to and from school and activities, practicing a little law from my laptop at home, trying to fit in a workout, and deciding if running out of cashews is really cause for a Costco run. Yoga pants sound like the obvious choice, but I have made a promise to myself to put on real clothes at least four out of the five weekdays! I’m not judging…swear! I just feel better about myself and the day when I get dressed. Same with making my bed, but my success rate is a little lower on that goal!
When I’m choosing what to wear on these mom-duty filled days, comfort is obviously key, and this hoodie had me at hello! I’m not usually one for wearing sweatshirts in public, but everything about this one is really right up my alley. First, the fit is a little more tailored and certainly lessens the schlumpy effect. Second, Rodarte!! And the kicker is that this top is actually a fun souvenir from my trip out west to Marfa (read more about Marfa and Marathon), purchased at the adorably chic and quirky Freda boutique. I love wearing this hoodie with my favorite Citizens waxed jeans, black and white Nikes, and my newest closet staple — this instant heirloom All Saints leather moto jacket. It’s a great look for feeling comfortable without sacrificing style!
